Klinsmann to coach South Korea for World Cup campaign

Former German soccer coach Jurgen Klinsmann will take cost of the South Korean nationwide group.

Klinsmann replaces Paulo Bento, who stepped down following South Korea’s defeat to Brazil within the final 16 of the World Cup in Qatar in December.

The Korea Soccer Affiliation mentioned Klinsmann had signed a contract till the 2026 World Cup, which might be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

After retiring as a participant in 1998, Klinsmann was Germany head coach from 2004 to 2006 and in addition managed the US from 2011 to 2016.

Klinsmann’s most up-to-date teaching job was at Hertha Berlin till February 2020.
