Mount Waverley crash: Gazi (Azraf) Ezaz identified as cyclist killed by truck in Melbourne

A bike owner killed when he was hit by a truck in Melbourne’s southeast has been recognized as first-year Monash College pupil Gazi “Azraf” Ezaz.

The crash occurred on the intersection of Waverley Rd and Stephensons Rd, Mount Waverley about 6.40am on Wednesday.

Ezaz was handled on the scene by paramedics however couldn’t be revived.

The 18-year-old was learning a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, based on Monash College, and had moved from Bangladesh to Melbourne in 2018.

“We specific our honest condolences to Azraf’s household and pals, and prolong our sympathy and help to his mom, as she attends her son’s funeral at the moment,” Monash College stated.

“It is a tragic lack of a younger life.”

In honor of Ezaz particular prayers will probably be held at Monash Sport, Clayton from 1.15pm to 1.45pm on Friday.
