Search launched for plane missing in Northern Territory

A search is underway for a lightweight aircraft with two individuals aboard that didn’t arrive at its vacation spot within the Northern Territory’s Prime Finish greater than a day in the past.

The pilot and one passenger took off within the plane from Gove Airport in East Arnhem about 8.30am on Saturday, NT Police say.

The aircraft was as a consequence of land at Katherine, 530km southwest, about two hours later nevertheless it by no means arrived.

Police and the Australian Maritime Security Authority have been on the lookout for the plane in distant components of the Prime Finish since Christmas Eve.
