A person has been charged after allegedly attacking and assaulting a girl in Melbourne.
It is understood the girl was sitting alongside an embankment of Albert Park Lake at about 11.15pm on Friday, when a 42-year-old man approached her, Victoria Police mentioned.
The person, who was unknown to her, allegedly bodily and sexually assaulted the girl earlier than she managed to flee.

The person then chased her down as she sought assist from passers-by.
Close by cops then arrested the Prahran man.
